Thoughtful Food For ThoughtEvery dish we prepare at Baba King is based on recipes that have been passed
down multiple generations within our immediate and extended family. We try to keep our preparations as close to how we do it at our home as possible. You'll notice we are a strictly "No Pork, No Lard" restaurant. Perhaps less obvious is the lengths we go to ensure we source meats exclusively from Halal-certified suppliers. We do this so our Muslim friends and relatives can choose to dine with us. Likewise, we keep our prices as low as we can so (our) authentic Peranakan food is more accessible for the masses. We have a somewhat "fusion" category where we combine "contemporary" staples like pasta with traditional Nonya dishes like sambal fish or beef devil curry to entice younger diners to try Peranakan cuisine for a change.
